The Charlotte LGBT Chamber of Commerce (CLGBTCC), formerly known as the Charlotte Business Guild, was organized in 1992 to establish and nurture a network of business contacts and friendships, encourage fellowship and support among business, professional and charitable pursuits, and provide and promote positive role models in Charlotte’s Lesbian and Gay community.
Every year, Charlotte’s LGBTQ community continues to grow and become more visible throughout the area, and the Charlotte LGBT Chamber of Commerce is no exception. We provide a diverse network of professional, business and social connections among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight communities. The strategic partnerships formed within our organization strive to:
Promote Member Businesses: CLGBTCC works tirelessly to promote our Members through marketing initiatives, public relation campaigns, and cooperative advertising that reach local, regional, national, and global markets.
Encourage Businesses and Individuals: CLGBTCC functions as a support system that empowers the LGBTQ community, both socially and economically.
Serve the Community: We will continue strengthening our ties to the community-at-large with educational projects and neighborhood initiatives that benefit everyone.
Increase Exposure: Our committee structure garners free publicity for Members by promoting them on our website, at events and to local media. We also highlight Member businesses at networking events and in our newsletter, The Networker.
Support LGBTQ Activities: We sponsor and maintain a strong presence at LGBTQ events and celebrations throughout the Charlotte area, year round.
Foster Pride: We are always working to heighten awareness of LGBTQ issues and successes. This creates an increasingly positive public image that gains respect for LGBTQ businesses and consumers.
Champion LGBTQ Business & Social Interests to State and City Government: As a voice of advocacy for the LGBTQ community, CLGBTCC has built the strong foundations necessary for our programs and initiatives to succeed.
