No. CLGBTCC welcomes members of all gender identities and sexual orientations. Many of our most active members are not LGBT people, including several past and present Chamber board members.
The reasons people join the CLGBTCC are as diverse as our membership. Some business owners and professionals are interested in reaching an audience or customer base they might not otherwise have access to. Studies show that LGBT people prefer to do business with those who market specifically to them and who show support for equality by supporting LGBT events and organizations—even when it costs more to do so. Others join as a way of showing support for LGBT equality. Still others join to meet and network with talented, savvy business owners, or because the CLGBTCC offers programs and events to help them grow their businesses or professional practices.
